Sorry, I think that I am worse than Colonel Mustard - I don't know where to start. I have had look through different threads and cannot find it. I also cannot find the 'make a new post' bit either. sorry. Please help.
Hi All, How do you get the mozzy nets onto the window so that there is no way of the blighters getting through - is there a tape or something that you use. Do you keep them on the windows permanently? Scuse my ignorance but I don't know where to buy them or how how to use them to best advantage
Hi All, You have given me some books which I have not read yet. I have quite a few myself - you have probably read them 2 by Anne Hawkes; the Thousand days series by DI Blesi. Right now, I am reading 'Buying a House in Italy' byGordon Neale. That might sound a bit boring but it is really interesting. Apart from the useful info and websites re buying, it also gives loads of info about the various regions, history, climate, people. It also talks about the different cuisines, soil for planting, what to plant for fences, windbreakers and where to situate them etc. Also which plants for scent, to repel insects and animals etc. It tells about the water systems and rules regarding filling swimming pools. oh, that does sound boring, but honestly it is fascinating. M
Thanks for that Alan. I had been trying to find out via the Private Messaging instructions but could not find it. I am quite thick when it comes to stuff like this. Thanks again for your help. ,
Hello Karen, this is my first time posting as not sure of how to navigate the forum yet. Have been enjoying the interesting chat though. I am in the process of buying a very small flat in Abruzzo from Tricali properties. I agree with everything that has been said except to say that I have not taken my own advice and have thrown caution to the wind for once in my life. I just wanted a wee cheap holiday home that I could afford. If you have been on the website you will know that there is loads of info. This company wants to regenerate villages with holiday home owners who will adhere to there sustainable tourism principles. If anybody is wanting to make a quick buck renting or a dead sure investment then they should not go down this route. You can read my testimonial on the website. I went to Abruzzo with my eyes shut and fell in love with it as soon as I hit the motorway.
