Hello there... Advice needed on Capital Gains Tax payable by a resident selling his/her home before the five years stated must be had to escape from payment. I do know the laws changed in 2005/2006. Home is Prima Casa. Thank you.
I started a topic called Community Spirit. It has been closed & I am not very surprised. It had lost direction, or at least any direction in which I might had guessed it to go. It became self-indulgent & very, very tedious.
As you know I have not been a member of this forum for very long. I have visited other forums, as you do, and noticed that on other forums there appears to be more of a "Community". Is this forum soley for the publishing and giving of imformation
or, 101 things to do with a bidet. This is a thread I have unapologetically stolen from another web site. It's potentially too good for them to not share so.... I swagged it.
I may have mentioned that my wife and I are wanting "to do" Naples this year. Any help on where best to visit and where not to bother with would be helpful. I am trying to find as much info before we go and do some research on the the place.
My wife has managed to come by a hoya leaf cutting can anyone tell us how to now make it grow? I know these cuttings are difficult but any help would be useful

I've always been interested in the Italian use of hand gestures. To be able to say so much with a movement of the hand. I know there are many, but do they all mean the same thing in each area of Italy?

Sorry, surely editing ones original post doesn't mean repeating the first and so putting the post up twice does it?
Hi Sabina, Never tried the Gragnano wine you mention. Do they have a wine group here on this forum? Surely it's that Italians work to live, and the Protestant approach being the Brits live to work? I also live out in the sticks, and love and hate it for many reasons. Forums like this one do alleviate some of the winter boredom that sets in. Cooking is one of my hobbies too and when visiting my home in the U.K. I stock up on all that cannot be found in the Italian stores. But, as you say there are other things in life.

Yes. I speak some Italian and can get by. It's all about confidence. Well, not only that, but you know what I mean. If you work in Italy you have of course got to participate and practice makes perfect, so they say.
Oh I'm so sorry Leslie. I misspelled your name.
Thank you Lesley...I hope you make it to Italy. It is lovely here. Can you speak any Italian?
Yes, I am male. I don't really know Naples (anyway what's wrong with liking Naples ?), and I'm sure the people of Naples are lovely. I have lived in some parts of Italy, prefer white wine, and sorry to say I like French whites, though the ones I like cost a bob or two. So, yes I like wine. My wife and I have lived in Italy for over three years now and love to travel around all parts of Italy discovering her delights. Am looking forward to getting to know people on here and hope that I can offer some help and add interest to this forum.
Do you know me? You are not too wrong my friend, but maybe I could introduce myself in a better light.
