In case you weren't already aware, Ryanair now have a large digital scale and a handy credit card swiper located at the gate. (This was at Ancona this weekend). All hand luggage was weighed before they would check you boarding card and fees applied if your hand luggage was over weight. Obviously the priority boarders got to have their hand luggage weigthed first!!

There are 20 teams in the premiership, thats 220 players minimum. Conservativley I would say that each squad has at least 10 further players so theres another 110 yet cappello can only pick from 50? then you have injuries to account for. I coach at a level just below academy and I can tell you that county football for both boys and girls is alive and kicking and played at ever improving standards but you will not see any of these players ever get anywhere. I can say without fear of contradiction that the link between grass routes and profesional football is completely broken. I can understand the likes of MU, L'pool, Chelski etc cast their net across europe and the globe becasue that is where they play. But are you seroiusly telling me that 1st and 2nd division teams have to go to europe to find 1st team players? There is also the issue of "hoarding" of academy players in the premiership. They might not make it at prem level but they would make a good living out of Champ, 1st or even 2nd div clubs, but there academys wont let them go.

A real pity for Fulham last night, whatever level you "enjoy" your football it mostly ends in dissapointment. (sprostoni - red and gold etc)

I know a lot of people dont use their own soliciter when dealing with the Notary but we did, an italian with excellent english. We ended up with a legally acceptable english translation. Cost a bit more than Euro200 thou but was worth every penny. Became an invaluable contact a year or so after the house purchase when we had a couple of issues that needed resolving.

This post has intrigued me some what so I started trawling local estate agents web sites. In our area you can still get properties for E700 - E800 m2 but to be fair they look more like archeological digs than properties. Top price I found (excluding town centre appartments) was E1,800 m2 but that was for fully refurbished, proper sea view, excellent links to large town etc. Fair value seems to be about E1,200 to E1,400. ASL seems to have a very detrimental effect on value.

I've come across this type of figure before and never been sure where they come from. If I add up all costs including purchase, swimming pool instalation, restoration / refurb, legal and planning, I get a figure around E600 - E700 per m2.
