Whether you are the owner of a Hotel or a Bed and Breakfast or an Agriturismo or any other kind of accommodation, you may need to use some key-phrases with your Italian guests. The first thing - and most of you surely know this - to tell somebody coming for the first time is:"Benvenuto" or "Benvenuti" (if you are talking to more than one person)Let's go to a further step. After your "benvenuto" another kind expression could be:"Con chi ho il piacere di parlare?" - a kind way to ask somebody "who are you?", if you don't remember their names. Then you may want to enquire how their journey was:"Spero il viaggio sia andato bene" or "Spero abbiate fatto buon viaggio" (Hope you had a nice trip),or"Com'è andato il viaggio?" (How was your trip?) - but after this question do expect a long phrase and be open to understand whatever they will tell you!If you want to show them the apartment / house, you could start the tour like that:"Vi mostro la struttura" (I'm going to show you the accommodation). Qui c'è la cucina (This is the kitchen), in fondo c'è il bagno (the bathroom is over there), a sinistra c'è la camera da letto (on your left, you'll find your bedroom). La camera x è provvista di balcone. - (The x room is provided with balcony)After you accompanied your guests to their rooms the following expressions are very much appreciated:"Per qualsiasi cosa chiamatemi" - (Dont' hesitate to call me if you need something)or "Se avete bisogno di qualcosa, mi troverete in reception" - (I'm at the reception, come and ask me for anything you need)To close your conversation:"Buon soggiorno" - (Have a nice stay)After this conversation, you should have left a good impression to your guests! Don't hesitate to ask me any other particular question about expressions to use in Italian.
