Hi, hope also these can help you: Dual Language Articlesyou can read the text in the English and read the Italian translation and audio. This useful to check your pronunciation but also learn the differences between English and Italian syntax. 

Try www.babbel.com, it is a good site to meet people who are learning a language, it has it's own built in translator, has it's own courses and a chat room to pratice in. The site is free.Martyn

 Andrea Pollett's Teach Yourself Italian site seems to move around a bit, but is now at http://www.freewebtown.com/civis_romanus/i-ind.htm - good if you like a formal approach to grammar - I've found it very helpful in the past.He (?) has also got a much shorter Roman dialect site elsewhere.

I like the wordreference.com website that was already mentioned- it's really useful in the sense that you can also post language questions on forums and get help from people who are fluent in the language. It great for figuring out language problems that you don't normally learn from a text book or something
