I'll be delighted to hear from you...................I have to 'declare' on Wednesday (first thing) so if your commercialista knows ...........that would be great..............I am happy to pay (if I should) but equally, happy NOT to pay if I shouldn't (if you know what I mean ?!).I am resident and do have a pension (taxed) in the UK over 10,000 euros p/a but nothing here in Italy. Does the fact that I transfer monies (say 2/3k per month) constitute an 'income'??Thanks for your help A,I'll await any response,Cheers and keep enjoying the heat !S
Checkup expenses

Hi, we are resident and we are pensioners, and have a pension from the UK which is taxed in the UK and then transferred to our Italian bank account. My husband is over 60 and neither of us have ever had to pay for a checkup or a visit to the doctor. The only thing that we have had to pay for is a scan or blood test or visit to a specialist etc but it is not excessive. We have never been asked how much our income is since we became resident.

Hi Londonlass................our paths have not crossed so far??? I assume you are a lass from london???The BIG issue for me is that we HAVE been asked and, being an honest chap ( from LIverpool would you believe !!??), I like to pay my 'dues'......................equally I certainly do not want (as an honest scouser!) something that I am not entitled to !Thanks for the info,S

Hi Sprostoni, I found this old thread from 2006 which may give you a better picture. I do not think that there has been too many changes in the Italian system since then:http://www.italymag.co.uk/forums/general-chat-about-italy/5553-italian-v...
