Uniform International Wills Act

One for Charlotte - i have an American client, executor of his fathers estate who says that under the Uniform International Wills Act he can deal with the Italian succession of his American/Italian father. There are four heirs including the executor. Also there is no will and there is a probate lawyer dealing with the estate. Is it possible for the executor to give a POA to sort out the Italian end of the succession or will each of the heirs need to issue a POA (one is a minor). Thanks

Charlotte will be able to clarify this, but I always thought that, in order to have an Executor, you needed to have a Will. If there is no will, there is no appointed or nominated Executor. Any person can represent beneficiaries in the distribution of a n estate; however, individual POA will be required...

Thanks Gaia for pointing that out - what I meant was, there is no Italian will, but there is an American will, which doesnt sspecifically mention the Italian stuff, but leaves ''all my worldly goods' etc ...
