WOW. That is quite amazing! I had idly googled throne chairs, but (unlike Penny) hadn't come up with anything exciting. There was a prog on (I think) Channel 4 - the title had something about 'rooms', and people took bizarre items to various antique dealers in the UK who bid on them. There was a woman who had a prestigious shop in Edinburgh who (IMO) would die for your throne. Try and track her down and send her a pic!

Thank you, Fillide, for your help. Fifteen years ago I never would have dreamed of being able to chat like this with people all around the world to learn about a family heirloom. Thanks to Italymag my Italian throne information base is expanding. I keep hoping I can find more about Anti Brothers. Am thinking the family possibly immigrated from Vicenza. Thanks again.
