replacing toilet flange

Anyone have any familiarity with the innards of an Italian toilet, as in how to stop a tiny leak after the tank has filled. Have cleaned around the bottom flange, however cannot see how to remove the rubber flange and replace with a new one? The system we have in the US uses a rubber, easily replaceable, flange on a chain.Cannot figure out this system.Thanks

If you know what type of toilet it is - try 'Googling' it to see if there is a maintenance manual on-line for the cistern [tank] etc

Alan, thanks for your input. Started with that route, however could not find the specific info I needed. Finally, just took everything apart, thoroughly cleaned, etc. and all seems to be working fine again.tjanks again,Fred
