I'm not aware of this law, unless it's something regional. I will check with my electrician and let you know!
However if you were intending to rent out rooms/or do a bed and breakfast, this may be the case.

I don't think it's true. I had some adjustments done to my telephone system recently and there was no mention of that, so even if it is true it's one of many "inactive" laws. A good workman will tell you about the serious stuff which usually relates to where gas pipes can run and the ventilation of your boiler.

If you are opening an affitacamera or B&B there are some regional requirements on such things. For a private house it's rubbish. Your electrician is trying to screw you.

Good Morning--Truthfully I did not use one as my purchase was with an Italian resident. It does seem to be difficult to know whom to trust. Good luck in your search!!!!!
