Hello - we are planning our first trip

Try visiting the local cemetry or cremetorium.  When we were investigating my husbands family roots, in the graveyard many of the tombs had photos of our ancestors on them.

 That is a good idea, thank you. On that note, is there a way to tell who is buried where? I was told by a researcher that help me with my ancestors, that it is highly unlikely I would find and a grave site or headstone for any of my ancestors are from the 17 or 1800s?  I think I have at least the city that several of my ancestors died in. But thanks again great idea!!
