G8 and climate change

One of the main topics at the G8 summit held in L'Aquila this week will be the environment and climate change and a drive to reduce carbon emissions. Mr B might be well advised to look closer to home on this subject. The number of vehicles on Italian roads belching out noxious fumes, is remarkable, and there seem to be no spot checks carried out with regard to this as in other European countries. For an example from the grass roots , we followed yesterday on the road to Amandola a truck pumping out a fog of black fumes. How can it be possible to resolve this problem on a world wide level when it is ignored in its most basic form?.A
