The Italian jewellery company Damiani has designed a bra worth $2 million for the Victoria’s Secret fashion company and the Brazilian model Adriana Lima caused a sensation when she was pictured wearing the creation in a New York street yesterday.
Later, still wearing the bra under a revealing blue satin dress accessorised by Damiani choker and bracelets, she was driven around the city in a vintage car from which she waved regally and, less regally, blew kisses at pedestrians. Needless to say, a security escort accompanied her.
The bra contains over 3,000 jewels and 142 carats of white diamonds, topazes and sapphires, reports the Daily Mail. Damiani was inspired by the patterns of constellations and it took a team of craftsmen 1,500 hours to produce the bra.
Miss Lima will wear the bra again at a show for Victoria’s Secret on November 30th.
