(ANSA) - An Italian woman in her 80s has pulled a knife on bank staff for the second time in a week.
The woman had chased a bank manager round the bank at knife-point already on Monday and was escorted from the premises.
However, as she was leaving she had promised, Terminator-style, "I'll be back."
On Thursday she returned.
The woman made good on her threat on Thursday, brandishing another knife after screaming that the bank hadn't paid her enough pension. But unlike in the previous incident, which spread panic among staff, the woman quickly put her knife away and walked
out.
The woman was not charged after the first incident, which police described as "something straight out of a Pirandello story".
But they took a more serious view on Thursday, realising the woman needed help. A police spokesman said they would try to find a guardian for the woman, who has reportedly been living beyond her means since her husband died.
