Catania will fine coach Walter Zenga after a verbal clash with a TV commentator Sunday.
''Zenga will be fined because his behaviour does no good to him or the club,'' Catania CEO Pietro Lo Monaco said Monday after the former Italy goalkeeper appeared to threaten a RAI TV pundit.
Lo Monaco hinted that the club might have taken stiffer action.
''He will (only) be fined because his behaviour is only justifiable on account of his inexperience,'' the CEO said.
Zenga joined Catania, his first Serie A coaching post, towards the end of last season when the club narrowly avoided relegation.
Sunday's 3-2 win against Torino lifted the Sicilians to joint sixth in the table, six points behind leaders Inter.
