Any new form of world governance mustn't forget Africa, Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini said Monday.
''No one named Africa'' at the G20 summit in Washington at the weekend, Frattini noted ahead of a roundtable in London Monday morning and a lecture at St. Anthony's College, Oxford Monday afternoon.
By focusing on the world's established and emerging economies, the Italian foreign minister said, ''one risks erecting an even higher wall against poor countries''.
Regional crises and the poorest economies are still a priority for Italy, Frattini said, suggesting that the next G8, which Italy will chair, should be widened to include the African Union.
''We can't forget that part of the world''.
