State museums and cultural sites in Italy which receive over 50,000 visitors a year are offering free entrance between 19.00 and 23.00 on the last Tuesday of the month until 28th December under a scheme introduced by the Ministry of Culture.
The idea is not only to promote the museums but to offer a little help to those wishing to enjoy cultural activities during these difficult economic times.
