Luca Pagano, a 30-year-old from this northern Italian city, has been voted the best poker player in Europe.
Pagano, a poker professional since 2004, received his award at the first annual European Poker Tour (EPT) Awards in Barcelona Wednesday.
The EPT is the biggest poker circuit in Europe, specialising in the increasingly popular Texas Hold'Em variety of the game.
