Juve 'nibbling' at Inter

Juventus aims to keep nibbling points from Serie A leaders Inter Milan, coach Claudio Ranieri said after a 1-1 draw at Lazio put the Turin club just three behind Inter who lost 3-1 at Atalanta.

''We want to nibble away at their lead,'' Ranieri said after Juve missed the chance to narrow the gap to just one.

''It was a good chance to get even closer but it wasn't easy to get points off Lazio.''

''We got one, by playing well.''

Inter coach Jose' Mourinho said the team that let in three goals in half an hour in Bergamo was ''the worst I've seen since I've been at Inter''.

''We made some mistakes you only see kids make,'' said the Portuguese coach.

AC Milan saw off Fiorentina 1-0 thanks to Pato to stay third, three points behind Juve, despite the possible distractions of Man City's mega-bid for Kaka.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti repeated his hope that ''Kaka will stay'' and praised on-loan star David Beckham for his ''tidiness and work rate''.
