(ANSA) - Fiat and Ferrari Chairman Luca Cordero di Montezemolo is the most elegant man in the world, according to the Japanese monthly Men's EX.
The magazine, which sells 100,000 copies a month, came to its conclusion after surveying 450 designers, businessmen, opinion makers, journalists and buyers in the fashion sector.
In its profile, the magazine described Montezemolo as "a person who can best balance elegance and originality, something very difficult to find today when there are many successful businessmen who lack sophistication and many sophisticated businessman who lack a talent for success".
According to the Japanese publication, "Montezemolo has excellent taste in every article of clothing he chooses in terms of fashion and quality. He then adds a touch of originality to a classic style to achieve something truly unique".
"He stands out from the others no only for his fashion sense, but also because of the strong personality and charisma he projects," the magazine added.
In the magazine's poll, Montezemolo won out over people like Prince Charles, Ralph Lauren and Kofi Annan.
Montezemolo is also head of Italy's national association of industrial employers Confindustria.
He also also involved in fashion through his holding company Charme, which last year acquired Ballantyne, the British cashmere clothing firm.
