Valentino Rossi, probably the most gravity-defying rider in motorcycling history, fell while he was drawing the curtains in his house and is a doubt for this week's pre-season MotoGP tests in Sepang.
Yahama said the rider, who hugs the tarmac like few others and appears to bounce up on the few occasions he falls, had staggered backwards and crashed through a glass table, cutting his left hand and foot.
The injuries required stitches that may keep the five-time and reigning MotoGP champ out of the action that starts on the Malaysian circuit Thursday, Yahama said.
Rossi left for the three-day event anyway.
