Serie A club Siena on Tuesday signed Colombian rightside flanking defender Juan Camilo Zuniga from Nacional Medellin.
Zuniga, 22, is reckoned to be one of the rising stars of South American football.
Siena recently lost central defender Simone Loria to Roma, as well as Brazilian goalkeeper Arthur.
Other moves on Tuesday included 21-year-old Uruguayan striker Bruno Fornaroli who joined Sampdoria from Nacional Montevideo.
Fornaroli said he was already looking forward to the city derby where Genoa will field their own new Uruguayan signing, ex-Juve and Samp attacking midfielder Ruben Olivera.
Torino made a surprise swoop for Sturm Graz's promising Austrian midfielder Juergen Saumel.
Lazio have got ex-Napoli and Parma Brazilian midfielder Francelino Matuzalem on loan from Real Zaragoza.
