We have one of Jo and Simons kittens, the darling Mia, now lap cat, spolit cat and as ever a joy to us she has enriched our lives. It is the definition feral, semi feral that, interests me. Jo and Simons cats always had human contact, and were fed, as was our other adopted Italian cat, and they have both made excellent house pets, and I would not like this thread to discourage people from taking on these rewarding cats. Probably more effort and patience is required a first, and more trips to the vet, but that goes with the responsibility of animal ownership. Neutering is the answer to the problem of increasing numbers of sick and diseased animals, and I hope that the comunes, begin to take this seriously, on a different note the cats are now asleep on the beds, the kitten is out playing, I will just have to harden my heart against the newly arriving chickens as I have visions of them in the kitchen pecking the scraps up from around my feet, will save on the sweeping up!. Thanks beery, its just concrete , no covering to it (very attractive), cracks have widened because we are in an earthquake zone, and had some shakes a few weeks back. No tree roots, and the drainage is good, does that help?. you are a useful chap to have around!
So what is it if an Italian is early for an appointment I wonder? Sorry back on topicish, beery what would you say would be a simple/cheap and attractive way of covering a concrete terrace that has cracks, thanks A
welcome beery, I dont drive here, and now only scream in a subdued way, but according to R you get used to it, he was out in the big city today, and was happy to return to more rural roads, and peaceful driving. The most scary place for me was in America, on those huge roads, back down out burrow suits me.
Has anyone said welcome yet beeryspice ?, I think that your post is a breath of fresh air on this thread, and very true. Please tell us more about yourself, and your interest in Italy. A
I remember this now , it was fun and we ALL played nicely together, cannot think who I was now, but sure someone is going to remind me....... A
I have come rather late to this thread, but just a note for Dylano, as I dont think they are far from us in Marche, as you are driving down from S Vittoria into Servigliano, on the last stretch on the left there is a field that is planted with kiwis, only just above the valley floor, worth a look if you are passing. Oh dear, what was posted in a spirit of lightheartedness in response to Caroles quip seems to have been totally misunderstood. It was not my intention to defame anyone and in future I will keep my attempts at levity to myself. Humour if you dont know the participants obviously does not travel well! Ax
