Stamp Duty - 2nd Property in UKNowadays, if you already own a property in UK, there is an automatic 3% addition to the rate of Stamp Duty payable on the purchase price on a second home.
If they don't like what is happening, complaints may well 'appear' at the Comune [and possibly the Tax people] Let them know what is happening, and 'keep them sweet' - never upset the locals

Perhaps we should introduce it in the UK post Brexit?
Electricity - yes there is a higher rate for 'foreigners' - don't think so for water or gas.
[Things may have changed when they fiddled around with (increased) leccie prices recently, but I don't think so]

would the water board give you a quote, including them doing everything including trenching? At least then you'll know the worst case scenario
