My Italian isn't great, but I has a balcony repaired/extended a couple of years ago. I think that "pedate di gradini in pietra tipo “Gorgoglione” dello spessore cm. 5;" means that the steps will be surfaced with 5cm thick stone [a local stone - type Gorgoglione] - mine were tiled The bit previous to that may refer to facing the vertical faces on the steps, and the final bit may refer to labour costs for finishes  [but I'm less sure of these 2]

The question on 'half and half stairs' to ask is;- "Are they legal in Italy?" I know they are in the UK, but are they acceptable to your Comune?       I'd suggest you check with your Geometra or Architect

Have now risked trying the concoction Very liqueur-like, obviously a bit sweet, but with a nice taste from the sloes. Got a distinct 'heating effect' in stomach after the 'sip' traveled down there. Thinking, therefore, of 'Sloe Burner' ................. but still open to suggestions

If you can't readily find a step down transformer, as a [temporary?] measure I suppose you could always buy an electric shaver point [110V/220V] and wall mounting box, wire it to a plug and use the 110V output to power the American sepentino
