Hi everybody, I'm looking forward to going to our Casa in Calabria in three weeks time. I will be going on my own this time so I will have to practise my italian and do all the driving!

Hi Everybody, We had a wonderful 3 weeks at our little Casa in Calabria. For the first week we relaxed and enjoyed being in Italy. The next 2 weeks we were D.I.Y.crazy!!

When we booked our flight out to Lamezia we never expected to be mopping up rain inside our Casa!! We arrived on the sat evening and had a drink or two at our fav wine bar on the way home. We even sat outside as it was so warm.

Hi, Having just got back from Calabria and Im driving as normal here in Bournemouth,why do I have such a worry on Italian roads?? Im normaly a good and confident passenger & driver in UK but in Italy im a nervous wreck!!

I'm going with Ryanair out of Stansted next week & I bet there will be some scales ready for all us passengers! I'm only taking hand luggage but will now make sure I'm under rather than spot on!
Thanks Maralyn, Like you Ive always got lots of stuff going to our house in Italy! But strangely enough nothing coming back! I will put on my "pathetic" look if I can't lift my hand luggage on my own steam.

Thanks, Maralyn & Donna for your good wishes. Ive already packed and repacked! As I'm on my own this time I need my hand luggage at a suitable weight that I can lift! If push comes to shove I can always play on the helpless female!!! It's getting the case up into the overhead locker that I might have trouble with, and I'm taking two flights, so its twice lifting up the damn case! Anyway I can't wait to go on my own or not. It rained all night last night and most of the morning here in Bournemouth so the weather has got to be better over there. Ciao for now.

Hi, Our wall is 24 metres long and 3 1/2 metres high. We thought all 4 estimates were far too high!! But we have gone with our geometres cousin who we have met. We have agreed a price and have told our geometra that we cannot afford to pay 1 cent more.
Its a stone garden wall infront of our house. We understand from our Geometra that it needs to be reinforced to prevent the house from any movement.
Sounds like fun!! Hope you had good weather on monday for all your games & activites.
