Hi everybody, I'm looking forward to going to our Casa in Calabria in three weeks time. I will be going on my own this time so I will have to practise my italian and do all the driving!

Hi Everybody, We had a wonderful 3 weeks at our little Casa in Calabria. For the first week we relaxed and enjoyed being in Italy. The next 2 weeks we were D.I.Y.crazy!!

When we booked our flight out to Lamezia we never expected to be mopping up rain inside our Casa!! We arrived on the sat evening and had a drink or two at our fav wine bar on the way home. We even sat outside as it was so warm.

Hi, Having just got back from Calabria and Im driving as normal here in Bournemouth,why do I have such a worry on Italian roads?? Im normaly a good and confident passenger & driver in UK but in Italy im a nervous wreck!!

Nothing new on the Panorama programme last night but dear old Mr O'leary had great publicity I thought!!!
We too would be totally lost without Ryanair. If it was'nt for them we would'nt have bought our casa in Calabria.Un fortunately Ryanair have stopped the Lamezia - Stanstead route so we are now looking at a different route to get there. We will always look for Ryanair flights as they are the cheapest, the less we spend on getting there the better!!We feel that Ryanair could greatly improve on their non-existence customer service but they get us from A to B normally on time. As mentioned previously they are a business & a successful one at that!
Thanks Angie & Gala for your comments, I had little or no choice but to get on with it!! I really enjoyed the 2nd week as the weather was so wonderful.
Hi we opened a bank account with Banca Intesa...now called Banco di Napoli. They charge us 10 euros a month. Dont know if you have a branch in your area but try them!! Fortunatly for us our Bank Manager speaks wonderful english & made opening the account soooooo easy!!

It sounds like you had a very interesting holiday to say the least!! We found by going to different parts of Italy you can rule out what you dont like and concentrate on finding your perfect part of Italy. Cant wait to see your photos.
I thought their life in the countryside sounded lovely but I can see her reasons for coming back to noisy London!! At least they had a go at country living and they decided it was'nt for them. She sounded quite positive about what they did accomplish and they can always look back on their happy and not so happy memories!
