Hi Ugo,I come from Tuscany and I run an online company selling holiday packages (7 nights plus Italian Language Course) in the Vinci area, birth place of leonardo Da Vinci. It's between Florence and Pisa and there are hundreds of small villages, amazing views, great sites and hidden gems in the area. Take a look at our website for ideas!
Thank you very much!

Between Bologna and Modena

Between Bologna and Modena there are the Ferrari and Lamborghini Museums. It's pretty cool to see all the cars (can see both same day). No racing though! Down in Florence, I've enjoyed my stay at Hotel Mulino di Firenze, a converted grain mill right on the Arno (but outside the city). You can then proceed through Chianti. Couple of my favorite vinyards in Chianti area are Castello di Poppiano and Rocca delle Macie in case you are interested. Of course there are so many more great ones in the area I've never tried. Head west to San Gimignano and maybe Volterra, then head south and make a quick stop in Monteriggioni before heading to Siena. Of course if you are heading that far south, you might as well add Montepulciano and Montalcino to your list!
Thank you Rick! My husband
