TARI Tax 2024

Just had my TARI bill for 2024.  I used the PagoPA website to pay it online

I had major problems with it not accepting my payment - it seemed to freeze after the card details were entered.

Travelling back from Lake Orta area in N Italy, we travelled to the Simplon Pass to reach our first overnight stop in Sion.

Imagine our delight to find that a landslide has closed the pass "for the foreseeable future"

We used to use Book Depository to get books for our Italian friends at Christmas.

Book Depository now closed.  Does anyone know of an Italian (or EU) bookshop that will accept orders from the UK and deliver to an Italian address?

You say it is an apartment - so [as always] my advice is to talk to your neighbours, and see who they recommend. Best bet is to get 2 or 3 quotes - but don't automatically choose the cheapest.

It also depends how good yout Italian is - if you are looking for a position where you only need English, its probably not worth looking. However - Google 'English speaking jobs in Milan' and you get things likehttp://www.jobsinmilan.com/

As a guide - but each Comune is differentMy place is about 120sqm including store and garage. Last year I paid 520Euro for IMU & TASI, and 180Euro for Tari   - Total abot 700 Euro

Also sounds likee a delaying tactic to me - suggest you formally ask the Comune what standards they require for rebuildsGood Luck

I think you need to give us a bit more info, if you want some real suggestions. Things like;-

  • when you say you'll take 9 days, are you hoping to stop for a day or two in places that interest you [if so, what is of interest], or are you intending to do say 100 miles a day [to give an afternoon/morning at a location] and do overnight stops all the way
  • Route - I think you need to flesh it out a bit, so people get a feel for where you think you want to go

Suggestion - get some detailed road atlases if you want to avoid motorways [I bought some through Amazon] Hope this helps
