That's actually quite a nice time to visit Rome, Fall is absolutely stunning there. Regarding work, it really just depends on what you are looking for. It would pay to do a little research and reach out to businesses before you come to see about arranging interviews though do be advised that unemployment is high and finding work (and housing) can be tough..
