As from previous posts, Saga will insure for 12 months abroad, but if you plan to travel back to the uk within the 12 months and leave the car in Italy you will find the insurance would be not cover this. With Saga you have to remain with the car in Italy or drive it back when you want to travel to the uk. Again as from previous posts if you want to be able to leave your car and travel back to the uk within the year then there are very few insurance companies who will do this. My question was, how can you compare the NHS with the Italian health service!! If you make a statement you need to back it up with some constructive comments. It was your comment that you have lived most of your life in Italy, Have you had experience of our NHS!!.
Flights in Nov to Pisa Ryanair Stansted, BA Heathrow. Not sure where you live in England, but might be easier to drive to one of these airports then a short drive to Bagni.

Just had a new dish and free view box installed up here in Northeren Tuscany. Can now receive all BBC & ITV channels plus loads of others about 160 in total. One off job and payment. Quite nice to have the option of some decent news and programs.
Anyone come across a termostufa by Klover or has one fitted!!! Wood fired, will heat water and radiators. No need for expansions tanks etc as all is fitted into the stove. We have a gas central heating system with combi boiler. This stove can be connected into this system so we can use wood and switch over to gas when needed. www.klover.it go to product, wood stoves , and termostufa about 3000 euros and about 200 euros to fit
This has been mentioned many times before!! Saga insurance will cover you for 12 months abroad only if you are with the car for the 12 months. It does not cover you for leaving the car in Italy when you are travelling back and forth. Only one company will do this I know of is Stuart Collins Swansea.

Is this a new by-pass, or just a route that avoids Basle

Thats the better hospitals!!!! If you have lived in Italy most of your life how can you compare.
