All the parking is on the Pisa airport site. Have parked at pisa for the last 5 years and all works out expensive. The one after the station now has gone up in price. The best value is the one after the car hire depot, but omny open from spring to septabout 7 euros a day. Have made inquires about off airport parking but nothing.
This is the same company we have used for the last 5 years, Stuart Collins. We have found this is the only Company who will offer 12 months cover with the option of leaving the car for any length of time in Italy when you are returning to the uk. Regarding Saga insurance the last time this was ongoing someone did mention they had contacted Saga with a view to put there son on for 2 weeks when they were going to vivit Italy. When Saga found out that the insurer had returned to the uk leaving the car in Italy they withdrew their policy ( i think) As said, very grey area with the likes of Saga!! Going to get onto customer service this morning
Certainly a grey area the Saga insurance!! Thought i would give them another try!! just now, Told them my situation would be, with regard to leaving the car in Italy. Take the car out March time and bring back November, inbetween times i would expect to return to England 2/3 times leaving the car in Italy. There comment was they could not offer insurance as the car was being left for a longer period than they would be prepared to cover, short periods only. I asked what was there definition of short or long periods was, and was told they did not have that information, but whatever it was they could not insure me. Asked if i could have the underwriters contact to see if i can clear the confusion with Saga insurance, but Saga said they could not give me that information.
Regarding Saga insurance, if you return home and leave your insured car in Italy i think you will find that you are not covered, you are covered for the 12months as long as you are with the . There has been lots of posts on this very subject worth having a read
Why don!t you read up on the history of the AGA !! then you may be able to offer some usefull comments ,instead of writing a load of waffle,If you are going to reply ,try and say something that will be of use to the post, GOOD LAD !!!!!!!!
Yes we have one!! and its the only appliance we have. Nothing pretentious about them if you know anything about them and how to cook on them.Where we live in the Lakedistrict we have no gas, so always had solid fuel stoves, and for last 10 years oil fired AGA.Oil and solid fuel stoves are at a constant temp and cannot be regulated, temp will drop after long periods of cooking, then you will have to wait untill temp comes back say 2 hours.Gas fired AGA can be regulated moreFor our needs it is great, granted not the cheapest to run, but for cooking, heating, drying, ironing, and good looks worth the money. In saying that ,and being an AGA user in England i would say there are much better alternatives that are more suitable for the Italian climate
Just paid our gasLunigiana area of TuscanyCompany, Lunigas , 531 ltrs total price inc iva 586.89 eurosThank god this will last us year and half, big difference compared with Sebastiano
I don!t think getting quotes for 90 days or even 180 days is a problem a lot of companies will offer this. Its when you want to insure for the full 12 months and being able to leave the car when you return to England. Most other companies insurance (Saga etc )will cover for a single trip be it 50,90,180,or the full year, if you retrun to England then your insurance becomes void. as one post commented. If you are coming over for 180 day then returning back to England with the car, then returning to Italy again with the car no prob,
As said before no prob using the car abroad for the year with Saga insurance, its when you are returning back and forward to England when the insurance becomes a problem, Why not buy insurance from Stuart Collins, AXA ,then you have peice of mind,
