I am sorry if this has been covered before, but just looking for a brief idea. I understand that the process of obtaining an Italian passport can be arduous.
Sorry what I meant was my father had a British passport from birth and then at age 65 obtained his Italian passport. Did him having a British passport mean he at some time have up his Italian citizenship.?
Thanks for that. Good luck with your process, not an easy task but one step at a time.
My father acquired his Italian citizenship a few years ago via his parents roots,
Can I assume that as my father has technically always been an Italian citizen including when I was born I qualify, or after I turned 18 does it all change?
Lastly we had a ferry booking with DFDS, they gave us a credit for the full amount no questions asked which allowed us to book the channel tunnel so no quarantinee.
We have just returned from northern Italy. Just remember no stopping in France or using the ferry otherwise 2 weeks quarantine switrerland was also on the list so fill up in Italy and then again in Germany.. Fill in the uk gov online declaration, we travelled back up through Germany as far as Aachen ( nice clear drive). Took selfies at the Aachen petrol station filling up and kept the receipt. we were asked at uk border control if we had completed the form and that was it.
It's not too much trouble be able to enjoy a nice break.

That's great seems positive. If my dad had been given his Italian citizenship etc. Does that mean that he did not renounce his Italian citizenship.
Thanks

Good to know. Will have a look, but I am sure they have since law against it.
Just hope the glue doesn't fail and the sticker slowly curls off in front of the Swiss police!
Hi thanks for all the advice.
In the end I used my usual route, very cautious with my speed etc in Switzerland.
Had to buy a second vinette fur the trailer I was pulling. Every time I go through Switzerland it seems to cost me money.

Hi,
Glad you made it safely.

I am using live traps to then releae them into the wild.
I have tried the electronic devices before in England with mice etc and they didn't seem bothered one bit, just carried on.
Apple's as bait and I have now caught 5 so it's working.
Thanks
Humane traps baited with apple seems to be the answer.
Set the trap up high amongst there rafters.
Four caught and relocated in five days.
Thanks for that. Traveling via Germany is (currently) our plan
We were near you the other day, went to Mergozzo for lunch ( not the Michelin star restaurant!). Very pretty area.
Would appreciate a heads up if you hear any impending changes to UK quarantine countries. I don't get much UK news whilst working on the house here.
It's a shame if you don't make it over life here is pretty much normal except the masks.
